Does the schedule of classes ever change?

Yes, the schedule will change each month. Our schedule will change according to certain events and holidays. You can find changes to the schedule on our website. All schedules are subject to change due to low participation or other reasons not specified (such as sudden illness or an emergency).

Does it cost anything to participate in a group exercise class?

Group Classes are included in your membership. They are free to attend for members of the club.

I just started working out. Can I participate in any of the classes?

Yes, our classes are created for everyone at all ability levels. The instructor will show modifications throughout the class. If you have any questions regarding a specific class, feel free to talk to the instructor before or after the class.

All moves in any of our Zumba classes can be modified and executed at your particular level, however, Zumba Gold is a class that is based on the same dance moves used in the original Zumba class, yet the class is less intense, with dance routines designed for beginners and older adults using modified movements.

What do I need to bring with me to the group fitness class?

We recommend that you bring a reusable water bottle to all of our classes. Island Club and Spa provides hand towels for use in the facility. You will need to have a towel with you to participate in the cycle classes, and it is recommended for all other classes. Bringing personal yoga mats or Pilates mats is acceptable in the mind/body classes.

Usually people arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to the beginning of most classes. Everyone waits outside of the rooms for the previous class to finish and exit before entering.
